For decades the American labor movement was credited with helping stimulate an unprecedented expansion of the middle class. After Wall Street took the global and national economy for a roller coaster ride, however, unions have been blamed for holding the nation back. This event explored the role of labor in New York City as a pro-union Democrat is set to be sworn in as the the next mayor.
